Plastics and Polymers
The Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research and Innovation Center (MATRIC) at the West Virginia Education, Research & Technology Park in South Charleston is involved in several projects involving plastics and polymers. Scientists have developed new shapes for water bottles that use less plastic than before.
In another lab, a researcher is working on developing an optically transparent polymer that's also virtually bulletproof.
In our Mountain State Science series, Erica Peterson takes us into the labs to hear from the scientists who are working on these innovations right here in West Virginia.
