The series takes place in a magic shop where Dr. Adelman
plays host to a colorful cast of characters led by: Joey, a bright
well-meaning, mischievous boy puppet who represents the kid in all of us. The
series also includes, Salty,
an outlandish tall-tale-telling pirate who lives in an urn, Daisy, who owns
the garden shop next door to the magic shop and who teaches Joey and the
viewers how to make healthy snacks, Professor Science, who teaches the viewers
science experiments that they can do at home, Duk, a delightful talking, magical duck.
Educators, physicians and nutritionists are part of the
consulting team that help to develop the appropriate content for each episode.
Educational information will be taught through and interspersed with fun,
magic, puppets, and original songs.

A primary focus of the series is on health and nutrition.
There is the Make a Healthy Choice game where, through visual aids, viewers
will see how much sugar and fat there is in snack foods, and learn to make
healthy choices, and there are segments showing how to Make A Healthy Snack.
The series also has a focus on science, with a segment on
simple, safe science experiments that kids can do at home or at school with
some supervision. In addition, other important messages are delivered on
safety, exercise, friends and family, and working together. Original songs
reinforce all of these messages.
