Morgantown’s departing city manager reflects on experience

February 11, 2013 · Morgantown’s city manager is leaving to take a job in suburban Atlanta, at the end of the month. Terrence Moore spent more than two years in Morgantown, and will be the city manager in College Park, Ga.

 

Under his tenure, Moore says he accomplished many things he wanted, but there are a few things he didn’t get to do.

The Boy Scouts of America passed a resolution yesterday that ends a century old ban on openly gay scouts beginning next January. Sixty-one percent of votes from those attending the annual national meeting in Grapevine Texas voted yes on the resolution. The ban still applies to openly gay scout leaders.
