Diggers showcases Hatfield McCoy feud

January 28, 2013 · The National Geographic Channel will highlight the famed Hatfield McCoy feud tomorrow night.

 

The TV show Diggers follows two metal detector enthusiasts and history buffs, George "KG" Wyant and Tim "Ringy" Saylor.  Tomorrow night Wyant and Saylor showcase a property in Hardy, Kentucky where the McCoy cabin was located.  They found bullets and the charred remains of the structure.  Bill Richardson, an authority of the famous feud, says these artifacts are now on display in Williamson.

 

“This is a phenomenal thing for West Virginia and eastern Kentucky,” Richardson notes.  “These are world class artifacts that people will have to come here and see and it’s going to be tremendous for tourism for our state. “

 

Diggers: Hatfields and McCoys airs Tuesday night at 10 on the National Geographic Channel.
