Southern Legislative Conference held in Charleston

July 31, 2012 · Legislators from 15 southern states are in West Virginia's capital city to attend the annual Southern Legislative Conference.

 

Those states are Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. 

 

Lawmakers use these meeting to compare notes and find solutions to common problems. 

 

It's always interesting to hear what issues other states are dealing with. 

 

We met up with Representative Howard Sanderford. He represents the City of Huntsville in the Alabama State Legislature.
