"Hatfields and McCoys" garners 16 Emmy nominations

July 19, 2012 · The History Channel mini-series “Hatfields and McCoys” has 16 Emmy nominations.

 

“Hatfields and McCoys” is nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries or TV Movie.

Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Mare Winningham and Tom Berenger are also nominated for their performances in the program.

The popular three part series chronicled the story of the Hatfield, McCoy feud along the West Virginia-Kentucky border in the 19th century.

The show originally aired in May on the History Channel.

The series was also nominated for its writing, directing, costumes, art direction, casting, editing, hairstyling, makeup, music composition, sound editing, and sound mixing.

The Emmys will be awarded on September 23.
