Berkeley County offices closed
July 16, 2012 ·
Some of Berkeley County’s and Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s offices in Martinsburg had to close early today.
Both are
located in the Dunn Building, an old textile mill that housed an
outlet mall for many years.
News
releases from the college and county administration say the offices had to
close because an air conditioner broke making temperatures inside the building
unacceptable.
County
offices that are located in the Dunn Building and are affected by the closure
include the sheriff’s tax office, the assessor and the county commission. The
closure does not affect offices located in other buildings.
The county
offices are expected to open tomorrow at least in the morning.
A college
advising fair for Mountain State University students scheduled today and
tomorrow in the atrium of the building will not be affected by the closure.
It’s
scheduled to take place today until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m.- 9
p.m.
