Help offered to Mountain State students
July 11, 2012 ·
Students currently enrolled in Mountain State University’s Beckley and Martinsburg campuses will have the option of transferring to public colleges in their area.
The West
Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission is offering help for students who
want to transfer and is encouraging them to consider options in their local
area.
The
commission has scheduled college advising fairs in Beckley Thursday and Friday at the Erma
Byrd Higher Education Center in Beaver and in Martinsburg next Monday and
Tuesday at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s downtown campus.
Both fairs
will take place from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
A news
release says Mountain State students who receive financial aid,
including the PROMISE scholarship and Higher Education Grant, should contact
the commission’s financial aid division for assistance.
Students
who are unable to attend the advising fairs can get help at the College Foundation of West Virginia website.
