Elk River Gathering to feature local history in Sutton

June 10, 2011 · Visitors are expected tomorrow in Sutton, West Virginia for the first ever Elk River Gathering, a day-long event with a focus on area history.

Kevin Carpenter is the owner of the Elk Hotel, and organizer of the event that will include a reenactment of the life of one of his ancestors. 


The Elk River Gathering gets under way at 9:00 tomorrow morning in Sutton, West Virginia.
