Several thousand West Virginians still have no power in their homes due to a recent snow storm.
Allegheny Power has restored power to nearly 80,000 customers in West Virginia since Friday.
But spokesman Mark Nitowski says about 24,000 Allegheny customers in the state still had no power Monday.
"Our crews are out there, they are working as quickly and safely as possible, but it’s been a tough challenge because of road conditions and weather conditions," he said.
Nitowski says most of those still waiting for power live in the north central part of the state.
Allegheny Power is bringing in crews and people from other areas to help the restoration project.
"We have close to 1,000 contractors and mutual assistance crews from other utilities that we’re using," he said.
"Some of those crews are coming from as far away as Alabama and Kentucky to help out."
American Electric Power is also working to restore power to 2,500 customers in Marshall and Ohio counties.
An AEP spokeswoman says they hope to restore service to all customers by Wednesday at midnight.
