The Law Works is a weekly show on West Virginia PBS discussing legal issues that affect daily life. The Law Works considers issues ranging from how to buy a house, to identity theft, and wiretapping.

Community Medical Centers

Is there a right to health care? If there is, how do you get it? Low income or unemployed, expensive insurance, rising health care costs. These things do not make for easy access to medical care. What can you do?

Dan Ringer has worked with West Virginia Public Broadcasting as a volunteer since 1987 in several capacities, including as co-host of 2 prior public affairs series - On the Line With ... and Stateline Friday. He has also hosted numerous WV PBS specials concerning education, voters' rights, and political candidate debates. In 1999 Dan was named WV's first Lawyer Citizen of the Year of the WV Bar Foundation. He served as president of the WV State Bar 1999-2000 and was named the Practitioner of the Year by the American Bar Association in 2000. Dan practices law in Morgantown.
