Criminal Sentencing Reforms

The State of West Virginia has a problem. We have more convicted criminals than we have the resources to punish them according to the law. Dan Ringer will discuss criminal sentencing reforms with Professors Robert Bastress and David Hardesty of the WVU Law School.

Dan Ringer

Dan Ringer has worked with West Virginia Public Broadcasting as a volunteer since 1987 in several capacities, including as co-host of 2 prior public affairs series - On the Line With ... and Stateline Friday. He has also hosted numerous WV PBS specials concerning education, voters' rights, and political candidate debates. In 1999 Dan was named WV's first Lawyer Citizen of the Year of the WV Bar Foundation. He served as president of the WV State Bar 1999-2000 and was named the Practitioner of the Year by the American Bar Association in 2000. Dan practices law in Morgantown.
