teams continue to assess property damage from Saturday’s flash flooding in Pike County, Kentucky.
More than 2,000 residents are without water and much of the county
remains on boil water advisories. Gov. Beshear says
he’ll also get FEMA teams into Carter, Rowan, Fleming, Mason and Lewis counties as
soon as possible to begin damage assessments.

The Division of Natural
Resources is back at Dunkard Creek this week, searching for fish that may have
survived last year’s fish kill, or came into the stream after the incident. A more recent fish kill still has investigators
puzzled. Along Dunkard Creek, the water is flowing very silently, quietly and everything is peaceful, but last September, thousands of fish were found dead on the creek banks.

New York will perform at the Culture Center in Charleston, West Virginia in an
event called “The Coal River Revival.” They’re the Church of Life After Shopping, and their performance comes with an
