Morgantown Radio off for repairs.  

 

Update - January 25, 9:30AM - WVPM 90.9 will be off the air between 10am & 11am today for Antenna testing.
 

 Update - January 18, 8:00AM - WV Public Radio has some transmitters at low/no power today: WVPG/90.3, WVPM/90.9, WAUA/89.5 and WWHA/89.3. We apologize for the inconvenience; our engineers are working on it.

Update - December 28,, 9:00 AM 

107.3 FM Clarksburg is off the air due to weather problems. We hope to have the problem fixed today.

 

Update - December 6, 2:00 PM 

Our radio signal at WVPM/90.9 Morgantown is currently on low power. This is due to work on our tv antenna on the same tower. Our engineers are working to get this restored as soon as possible. The work involves specialized equipment and work crews, which make it difficult to predict when the repairs will be finished. We appreciate your patience.

 

Update - November 30, 10:00 

WAUA 89.5 Petersburg is off the air on Friday for maintenance.

 

Update - November 29, 1 PM 

WVPM 90.9 Morgantown will be off-the-air on Thursday afternoon to fix an antenna problem.

 

Update - November 28, 9 PM 

WAUA 89.5 Petersburg will be off-the-air for transmitter maintenance at various times on Wednesday and Thursday. We apologize for the inconvenience.

 
 Update - November 26, 9 AM
The new DTV antenna in in place, and TV transmission is back to full power.. However, the radio antenna needs additional tuning. FM radio in Morgantown will be taken taken offline today at 10am to perform the tuning. Hopefully this will take no longer than a few hours.

 

Update - November 19, 9 AM 

High winds slowed repairs over the weekend. The finals parts needed to finish repairs are expected to arrive on site Wednesday. Normal transmission could be resumed late this week, weather permitting.

   

 Update - November 15, 10 AM 

The tower repair crew is lifting the new DTV antenna into position today. Several more days will be needed, for wiring and other connections, before the antenna will be ready for use. 

   

 Update - November 8, 9 AM 

A tower repair crew is on site to place the new DTV antenna at the Morgantown transmitter site. This will require halting TV and Radio transmission at times during the day.

 

Update -  November 5, 10 AM 

WVPM 90.0 Morgantown will be off the air at 11 AM today. The transmitter is still without power and the generator needs refueled.

 

Update - November 2, 9 AM 

WVEP 88.9 Martinsburg has resumed broadcasting.

 

  Update - October 31, 10 AM 

Most radio transmitters have resumed broadcasting. The following stations are still off the air or experiencing problems

- WAUA 89.5 Petersburg

 

Update - October 31, 9 AM  

All WV Public Broadcasting TV transmitter are back on the air, but many Public Radio transmitters continue to be affected by the storm. WE will be sure to update this page as progress is made.
 

 

 Update - October 30, 12 PM 

Special News Coverage from West Virginia Public Radio and NPR News regarding Hurricane Sandy will air from noon until 3:00 this afternoon.

West Virginia public Broadcasting engineers say the replacement top mount antenna is expected to be delivered around mid October, and weather permitting, WNPB DTV should be back to normal power levels and coverage area around the first of November.
