Through television and the Internet, Ready To Learn helps
children ages birth to nine learn basic skills that prepare them for success in school.


Ready To Learn supports the development of innovative educational television and digital media targeted at preschool and early elementary school children and their families.

The general goal is to promote early learning and school readiniess, with a particular interest in reaching low-income children.
In addition to creating television and other media products, the program supports activities intented to promote national distribution of the programming, effective educational uses of the programming, community-based outreach, and research on educational effectiveness.

Broadcasts begin the week containing Oct. 1 and end the Friday before Memorial Day.
