Asleep at the Wheel, appearing on Mountain Stage |
As Mountain Stage kicks off its 30th season, we
have more exciting live show news to pass along.
Just this morning, we announced that on March 10,
Mountain Stage will be returning to the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol
for a show featuring the famed western swing, boogie and roots music outfit Asleep
at the Wheel. They recently celebrated their 40th year
together, releasing the appropriately named album Reinventing the Wheel, and producing a critically acclaimed musical
play staring the band, called A Ride with
Bob.
Larry Keel & Natural Bridge will also
be there. Joyfully riding the changing tides of traditional bluegrass, country,
jam rock, roots reggae, and indie rock, flat picker Larry Keel has earned a
place as a mainstay act among Americana
and acoustic music fans.
They’ll appear alongside white-hot Irish acoustic band Lunasa,
and Brooklyn-base string band The Downhill Strugglers.
Tickets
for this show are on sale now online, by phone (423.274.8920), and in
person at the Paramount box office, 518
State Street, Bristol.
