2-clock
This Sunday, now at 2:00 pm.

An important heads up to all of you who listen to Mountain Stage on West Virginia Public Radio: beginning this Sunday, Mountain Stage is moving from its old time of 3, to its new time at 2 p.m. That’s one hour earlier. The Saturday evening rebroadcast is unaffected, and remains the same.

So that’s Sunday at 2, folks! Patterson Hood, Van Dyke Parks, Teitrur, Randall Bramblett, and Caroline Aiken. We hope you can listen.

As a church-goer, I would rather have Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me at 4 p.m., and The Thistle and Shamrock at 11 a.m. I really enjoy Wait, Wait, but usually miss it because I'm at church when it airs.

Don't move to 2:00 - stay at 3:00. For years I have capped my weekend by ensuring that my chores were done by 3:00. I then sit down and relax. It is the dessert for the week. Two pm is still mid-day - to early to stop to slow down.
Please - go back to 3 pm.

BOO, HISS !! We do not like the change in the braodcast time of Mountain Stage one bit. Missed the first hour of today's show (5-6-12), because the change was not announced far enough in advance, nor was the announcement distributed through other media very well at all.

Why make the change at all? We might be more sympathetic and understanding if a valid reason had been given for the move, but in absence of such we can only conclude that the change was made arbitrarily and without thought for the valued listeners of the show. Please consider moving back to the accustomed time-slot.

I was upset when you moved Thistle and Shamruck from 9 pm Saturday. I just can't get in the mood to enjoy a single-malt scotch in daylight on Sunday. Moving Pipe Dreams to the predawn hours on Sunday was the death blow for that show. Only church organists getting up for an early service would hear it then. No wonder it didn't get support and was dropped. At least I can get an audio feed from their website.
