TommyEmmanuel-2010
Tommy Emmanuel brings his finger-fireworks to WVU in January.

Mountain Stage kicks off its 27th Season in Morgantown, January 17, with a show so big we had to have six guests!
In addition to Mark O'Conner's Hot Swing, Vetiver, Among the Oak & Ash, a duo performance from Jorma Kaukonen & David Bromberg, we've just added bluegrass wonder boys The DePue Brothers and world-class guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.

Showtime is 7pm at the Creative Arts Center on the WVU campus. Tickets are on sale at ticketmaster.com or locally in Morgantown at the Mountainlair box office. You can charge by phone at 304.293.SHOW.
We can't wait to see our friends at WVU Arts & Entertainment.

BrookeWaggoner-2010
Brooke Waggoner will make her second appearance on Feb. 7.

Brooke Waggoner has been added to the February 7 line-up along with Dashboard Confessional and Clare & the Reasons..

Brooke's latest offering, "Go Easy Little Doves" has solidified her reputation as a creative force to be reckoned with. The Nashville Music Awards just recognized Waggoner as Next Big Nashville Best Emmerging Artist. Of course, we knew that when she first came on the show in 2008 (follow the link to listen) and we used her performance of "So So" on our 2009 Best of Fundraiser show.

RobertEarlKeen-2010
Robert Earl Keen will bring songs from Rose Hotel on Feb. 14.

One of our favorite songwriters, Robert Earl Keen, has agreed to join us on February 14 on a show that is full of distinct personalities. Keen's latest CD Rose Hotel  has been lingering at or near the top of the Americana charts since its release, sitting comfortably at #2 this week.

Also on that show are Ray Wylie Hubbard, Danny Barnes and the Sweetback Sisters.

Tickets are available here, or downtown at Taylor Books. You can charge by phone at 800.594.TIXX.

BudCarroll-2010

The rafters in the Culture Center are sure to get dusted on February 21 as we invite several modern-day alt-rock groups, all with their own twist on the Americana-dream.

Lucero, road-warriors from Memphis, Heartland rockers The Bottle Rockets, central-Virginia rased Sons of Bill, and, just added, Huntington, WV's own Bud Carroll & the Southern Souls. Carroll & the Souls have recorded their definitive statement in "Wasted Words & Best Intentions," recorded with Sublime engineer Eddie Ashworth in Athens, OH.

Featuring Jon Cavendish on keyboards/guitar, Jimmy Lykans on bass and Steve Barker on Drums, the Southern Souls is a broadly bordered band, incorporating heavy southern rock, slide-guitar infested soul, a couple of rambuncous blues numbers and some all out honky tonk. In other words, "Americana." Give a listen to "Big Coal" on their MySpace.

PaulThorn3-2010
Paul Thorn will make his sixth appearance on March 28.

Another longtime friend of the show, Paul Thorn, will be joining us March 28 here in Charleston along with Peter Bradley Adams. Thorn who is almost the most famous person to come out of Tupelo Miss., has a new record titled for his home town, "Long Way from Tupelo."

We can't wait to hear what he's got in store for us this time at the Culture Center Theater March 28. Get yourtickets online, by phone at 800.594.TIXX or locally at Taylor Books.

We hope you'll come see  us at a live recording in 2010.

Excited about the Sweetback Sisters. I hope you'll book The Black Lillies sometime soon! And how about Kris Delmhorst?

Sweetback Sisters should be great. Jesse Milnes is an amazing fiddle player.
