John Platania & Chip Taylor

Chip Taylor is the man who penned legendary songs like "Angel of the Morning," "Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)" and, most famously perhaps, "Wild Thing."

But that is only a small part of the story. And his story is the centerpiece of Yonkers, NY. the latest collection of songs from Chip Taylor. He stopped by Mountain Stage, brought along Van Morrison's guitar player, and worked up a handful of songs with the Mountain Stage Band, including "Wild Thing."

Hear the entire set, including "Angel..." which wasn't heard on the radio broadcast, on NPR Music. Below is Taylor's sit-down interview with Larry Groce Backstage at Mountain Stage. See and hear more interviews on our YouTube Channel.
