Riley Baugus

We have added old-time master Riley Baugus to the line-up for August 16 as we return to Bristol TN/VA, at the Paramount Center for the Arts, to record Mountain Stage episode #700! Riley was featured on the Cold Mountain soundtrack and was a key player in the recent Grammy-winning Alison Krauss & Robert Plant collaboration.

Tickets are going fast so we hope you can come enjoy this special occasion with us. Tickets are available HERE or by calling 423.274.8920.

We will span the stylistic globe with the soul-blues troupe Robert Cray Band, living legend Texans The Flatlanders, Aussie-great Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson and public radio favorites Robin & Linda Williams (whose new record Buena Vista was produced by Tim O'Brien). Read our press release HERE.

Mike Seeger, a scheduled guest for our August 16 recording has cancelled due to health problems. Our thoughts are with Seeger and his family.

ColinHay-2009
Colin Hay, of Men at Work fame.

We've added a show September 27 at the Culture Center featuring former Men at Work front man Colin Hay. His latest is called American Sunshine.

His first solo release, Man at Work, featured a couple of acoustic versions of Men At Work's widely known hits "Who Can It Be Now," and "Land Down Under." He'll perform a solo-acoustic set on Mountain Stage.

Bondy-2009

AA Bondy, the former Verbena front man, will be joining us Nov. 1 here in Charleston. He is doing contemplative folk-songs now with acoustic guitar and harmonica. There's a live performance over at NPR music from South By Southwest (SXSW). Tickets are available now online and soon at Taylor Books in downtown Charleston.
