We're happy to announce that power pop institution Matthew Sweet will be returning to Mountain Stage for our October 23 show at the Culture Center theater in Charleston. Matthew Sweet has a new album coming out this fall called Modern Art, and it's also worth pointing out that he's coming up on the 20^th anniversary of the release of his now classic song (and album) "Girlfriend." (Feeling old yet?)

This show also features former Drive-By Trucker Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit, icon of Americana music James McMurtry, and Portland-based folk rockers Blitzen Trapper.

We've said it before and we'll say it again -- this one is shaping up to be a bit of a barnburner.
