Lil Ed Williams - slide guitar fire-ball

There are few acts in the blues as exciting and invigorating as Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials . The  nephew of legendary slide-guitarist JB Hutto, Lil' Ed Williams is the direct descendant of slide-blues, following in the footsteps of Elmore JamesHound Dog Taylor and Hutto with an unmatched energy and musicianship.

Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials first and only appearance on Mountain Stage was an impromptu booking in 1989 on a show that also featured Dr. John, Larry Coryell, Bob Thompson and Ann Baker.

Unusually enough, the line-up is exactly the same, some twenty years later. Ed's brother "Pookie" plays the bass, Mike Garrett plays rhythm guitar and Kelly Littleton on drums.
