The 3rd Annual Induction Ceremony for the WV Music Hall of Fame will be broadcast statewide on WV Public Television on
Friday, February 26 at 9pm. This Two hour prime-time special, hosted by singer Kathy Mattea and harmonica virtuoso Charlie McCoy, brings together one of Hollywood’s most prolific comic actors; an almost forgotten, but beloved Country group; one of the best-known soul legends ever; and a diverse group of Nashville’s best.
In all seven musicians were inducted: The Bailes Brothers, Larry Combs, Frank DeVol, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Don Redman, Nat Reese, and Doc & Chickie Williams. From Classical to Country, Blues to Jazz, the evening proves, as presenter Bill Withers put it, "that all music has its soul."
