PeterBradleyAdams-2010
Peter Bradley Adams

We've added one more show to our 2010 Live Show Schedule .

Sunday March 28 at the Culture Center Theater, 7pm. Our first announced guest will be Peter Bradley Adams who was last with us in July of 2008. (Find that Show in our ARCHIVES) His latest CD "Traces" can be found on Amazon (portion of your purchase goes to WV Public Broadcasting if you use our link to purchase).

His music has been all over television lately, including "One Tree Hill" And "The Mentalist." Adams was a member of eastmountainsouth before embarking on his solo career with 2008's Leavetaking, a beautiful, well made record featuring his musky, soft spoken voice.

Tickets will be available online, by calling 800.594.TIXX and at Taylor Books in Downtown, Charleston.

Here's something we found while browsing YouTube. It's a performance by Jorma Kaukonen and David Bromberg, recorded in Chicago in 1986. If you dig this, there are several others here on YouTube.

Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning

The illustrious duo will join us in Morgantown, WV on January 17 at the WVU Creative Arts Center.

Tickets are available HERE or by calling 304.293.SHOW. Other guests will be Mark O'Connor's Hot Swing, sub pop recording artists Vetiver, Among the Oak & Ash (featuring Josh Joplin and Garrison Starr).

JesseWinchester-2010
Jesse Winchester

January 31 will see the return of one of our favorite songwriters, Jesse Winchester, who'll make his seventh appearance on Mountain Stage. According to Sundance, Winchester moves everyone to tears on an upcoming episode of Elvis Costello's TV show "Spectacle." He's been a favorite ours for quite some time, he even has a record of material recorded exclusively on Mountain Stage, which you can purchase HERE through Amazon and a portion of your purchase goes to WV Public Radio

Also on that show will be Calexico, Harper Simon and Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers.

SweetbackSisters-2010
Sweetback Sisters

We've also added a band with a WV connection to our February 14 show with Ray Wylie Hubbard. Joining us at the Culture Center will be the Sweetback Sisters, whose multi-instrumentalist Jesse Milnes is a West Virginian. They sing close sister-like harmonies ala The Davis Sisters and have a new album called Chicken Ain't Chicken (click to buy on Amazon).

Tickets for all Culture Center Shows can be found Online, by calling 800.594.TIXX or at Taylor Books in Downtown, Charleston.
